Ten years down the line and in the run-up to market liberalisation in 2010, the Thalys fleet has received a timely facelift. The European high-speed operator has invested €50 million and three years of research and development into redesigning its livery and interiors. Restyled by the French design agency Avant Première, the make-over features high comfort, low maintenance materials, a subtle colour scheme, state-of-the-art seats, chic uniforms for staff together with fresh catering and tableware.
